1. What Student Loan Angel Does

Student Loan Angel is a DBA of Knight Law Group, LLP. At initial launch, any legal-service evaluation or representation offered through Student Loan Angel is provided by Knight Law Group, LLP. Using the Website, submitting information, or completing an evaluation does not by itself create an attorney-client relationship. Knight Law Group accepts a matter only through a separate written engagement agreement.

Student Loan Angel may later offer an optional marketplace involving independent licensed attorneys. Any such referral requires a separate disclosure and borrower authorization. An independent attorney would decide separately whether to accept the matter and would be responsible for professional judgment, fees, licensing, deadlines, and the attorney's own privacy practices.

Student Loan Angel does not promise that Knight Law Group or any future independent attorney will accept a matter, that a borrower qualifies for relief, or that any outcome will occur.

2. A Referral Is Not Representation

A referral, introduction, authorization to share, consultation, portal message, or status update is not representation. The named attorney independently decides whether to accept an engagement. An attorney-client relationship begins only after the borrower and attorney complete a separate written engagement agreement. The portal displays that engagement status separately from case progress and referral authorization.

3. Referral Consent

No portal, case, message, or document information is shared unless the borrower first gives a separate affirmative authorization naming the specifically selected attorney, stating the purpose, and listing the exact information and documents authorized. Consent is optional and recipient-, purpose-, and scope-limited. Without consent, sharing is blocked. Declining does not prevent use of the Website's educational tools or official government resources.

Consent may be revoked in the portal before expiration. Revocation stops future sharing under that consent. It does not retrieve information already lawfully shared, cancel work already authorized under a separate professional agreement, or terminate that agreement. Contact the professional directly about a separate engagement.

4. Independent Attorney

The attorney is an independent third party and is responsible for professional judgment, conflicts, licensing, engagement terms, advice, deadlines, work, fees, trust-account duties, and the attorney's own privacy practices. Each attorney is responsible for maintaining every license and authorization required for the jurisdiction and matter. Student Loan Angel's educational team does not become the attorney and does not direct professional judgment.

5. Fees and Compensation

A participating attorney may pay Knight Law Group, LLP a fixed subscription or listing fee. The fee is not a referral fee and is wholly unrelated to the number or value of referrals, whether any engagement is signed, any professional fee, or any result. It never affects attorney selection, ranking, or placement. The attorney independently sets and discloses all borrower fees.

Student Loan Angel intends to offer referrals nationwide, but each jurisdiction must remain disabled until qualified counsel approves the participation, listing, advertising, and payment arrangement under that jurisdiction's applicable rules.
